You might remember the old bowling alley located at Wrightwood and Clark
where El Nuevo Mexicano first opened its doors. Teresa and Elfego Rodriquez
creates something special then - using only fresh ingredients, they developed a
menu rich authentic, traditional Mexican Fare.
This family-owned restaurant has continued to serve home-style Mexican food
in it's cozy dining room, at 2914 N. Clark St. in Chicago, since 1983 - earning
it the reputation of a neighborhood tradition. Guests are delighted by the friendly
staff, talented chef's, elegant touched and delicious menu choices.
Founder, Elfego Rodriques, has passed the apron to his niece, Maria
Rodriquez was proud of what has been called a hidden Chicago Treasure.
Now, with inspiration from her frequent trips to Puerto Vallarta, and her love
of cooking and entertaining, Maria has given the restaurant a new look and
has added fresh fish and heart-healthy options to the already extensive menu.
El Nuevo Mexicano is currently celebrating it's 25th year! Join us soon for some
of the best mole in the city, one of our menu favorites, or to try something new
from our Especiales menu.
You will love the new interior and festive patio and bar.
